It's easiest to have someone measure you
Kilt measurement is not the same as your trouser / pant waist measurement.
We recommend measuring at your belly button,for a more casual fit measure just above your hips.
Stand straight up and relax
Measure at points shown without holding your breath
Ensure measurement is not taken over thick clothing
Tape measure should be snug but not too tight
All measurements measurement’s in inches

MEN'S KILTS:
HAT SIZE:
around your head just above the eyebrows.
NECK:
A tape measure should be loosely placed around the neck to measure your neck size. You should be able to fit 2 fingers inside the tape measure.
CHEST / BUST:
Place the measuring tape around your back, under your armpits (with arms down) across the broadest part of your chest to take this measurement.
SLEEVE LENGTH:
Holding your arm straight and parallel to the side of your body, measure from the ball of shoulder (or seam of another jacket) to the wrist or longer if preferred.
WAIST:
Normally a kilt is fasten at the belly button, but it’s totally up to you where you want to fasten it.
SEAT:
Please put your feet together Measure around the fullest part of your hip/seat
KILT LENGTH:
Kneel down on the floor with your back straight. Measure the distance from your navel/ tummy button to the floor.
OUTSEAM:
Measure from C to ankle or normal position man wears his trousers.
INSEAM:
Measure crotch to ankle or normal position man wears his trousers.

LADIES KILTS / SKIRTS:
WAIST:
Measure snugly around your waist at the height of your belly button. if you would like to have the kilt sit a little lower, measure the waist exactly where you would like it to sit.
HIPS:
Take this measurement from the widest part of your hips.
LENGTH:
Measure from the waist band to where on your leg you want the garment to reach.
The make-up time for tartan skirts is currently for 1 week. Please take this into consideration if required for a specific date.
Hidden adjustable Velcro waist closure fine-tunes waist size for a perfect fit.
Side buckles for extra adjustment and traditional finish.
Traditional Kilt pin to finish the look.
WAIST: Measure snugly around your waist at the level of your belly button. If you prefer the kilt to sit lower, measure your waist exactly where you want the kilt to rest. Keep the tape firm but not tight.
HIPS: Measure around the widest part of your hips. Make sure the tape is level all the way around.
LENGTH: Measure from the top of the waistband down to the point on your leg where you want the garment to finish.
If you want, I can also make a shorter version or adapt this for women’s skirts only.

OK. The outfit took longer to arrive than agreed to with the company which meant I couldn't wear it for the function I ordered it for. This was annoying as i has been very clear about when I needed the outfit and the company agreed to have it with my by a certain date. That aside the outfit is made really well and fitted perfectly - aside fromt eh wastecoat which was too large but easy for me to alter. The gold brocaide work is mostly glued on, so hard to tell how long it will last but it seems really secure. Some work has gone into the detailing and the fabric is stong enough to hold it's shape without being heavy or uncomfortable to wear. A few reviews have mentioned ' cheap stuff from China'. This is not my experience and I really happy with the item. What I received is very slightly different to the photo online, but not so much that it bothered me and the clothing definitely has some quality work in it. I'd buy from them again. 4 stars because of the delivery time, otherwise very happy,
